Load Sales charge on a mutual fund, usually paid at time of purchase. The NASD allows loads up to 8.5% of the value of the investment. Load Funds up to 8.5% Low-Load Funds 3% or below No-Load Funds 0 No-load funds can still charge 12b-1 fees.
